Uri house was built at the end of Giva'at Ella new neighbourhood, nearest to the view: close view of a pine grove and far view of  Yizrael vallly. It is situated on a built hillside with the entrance on the upper level of the lot, with a difference of about 4 meter to the lower level.

Intuitively, our first intention was to plan the living floor just a little below street level, thus enjoying a balcony with an amazing view, and the rooms level below. This was ruled out: The balcony didn't give the sense of a gound, two firm levels created a house without connections between its levels, and there was a serious lack of southern light.

We decided to check out a different  lead, and start "normally" from the lower level. It requires stairs both outside the house and inside it, but ensures a direct connection to the garden, a freedom to design connections between levels in the house  - and also the possibility to let the southern light in.

​

Since this solution used the lower level as the starting point rather then a leftover, the outcome was great.
