Ivri house is located at the end of a typical suburban Israeli neighborhood, viewing the great open fields on its west side and hosting a marvelous Jacaranda tree on its long southern facade.

 

Only two years had passed since it was planted; Yet it grew up in a most spectacular way, leaving us with the impression that it has always been there and the house was just evolved around it.

 

In a way, daily life really revolve around the tree, and moving around the house means moving around the patio - the patio is located in front of the entrance and next to the stairs; It also divides the house into two parts: At ground floor it separates between the public spaces, and a clinic area which is built on a lower level. In the upper levels it separates between the kids level and the parents level.

 

Furthermore, the patio enlarges the surface area of the long facade, allowing more southern light to enter the house; The Jacaranda provides shed, yet at winter time it drops off its leaves, and sun warms up the house.

Both the public area and the parents area are open to the beautiful view on the west. Double western facade creates a buffer from the heat. Western winds are cross-ventilated through high windows on the higher levels.
