Living in Student Housing is an opportunity: The common environment of people of the same age but of different backgrounds, for several years,  can create a prosperity of openness  to different points of view, that can design one's personality.

The project aims to create the built environment that can support that. Connective tissue is the tissue which supports, joins or connects different organs of the Human body. It is build of two main parts: the cells and the matrix. The strength and flexibility of the tissue is determined by the matrix content; However, the cells which constitute only a little part of the tissue's volume, determine the characters of the matrix. In a similar way, we wanted to create student housing that has a smart, dynamic and open system; This starting point together with the program dictated a typical floor plan of which the apartments are all  arranged around a vast natural lighted joined space that links them. Every two floors share a common living space connected by a staircase.

The public spaces "climb" up the building: next to the building we designed a public open space in which a comfortable passage between Alenbi st. and Hagefen st. will be arranged. Adjacent to it is a public campus that includes an open auditorium allowing events open to the community. Inside the building on the ground floor are flexible, multi- purpose spaces. Study rooms are interwoven into the top floors with a connection to the common living space. On the top floor an outdoor patio and a green scenic roof that allow faculty parties and events.
